Pre-K Is Reaching For

  The STARS!!!

Parents,

We want your child to have a very successful year in Pre-K. Here are some helpful reminders and procedures to help make this a great year.

Dismissal Time: This is a critical time of day and we want to make sure your child goes home correctly. If you need to change how your child will go home, please call the office and send me an email as well. I need to know before 2 pm!!

Conference Time:  I have 45 minutes for conference and will try to return emails or phone calls as time allows. I may have to wait till school is over some days. If there is an emergency, please contact the office.

Morning/Breakfast Routine: The second set of doors (to the left of the main doors and in the front of the building) will open at 7:15. The kids can go to the cafeteria to eat or sit at their class cone in the gym. An adult will help the little ones to their cone. At 7:35, we will pick up our class up from the gym. Please do not bring your child to the classroom before 7:30 as no one will be there and the door will be locked.

Daily Folders: The students will take their folders home everyday. Please check, read and sign folder/ notes that come home. There will also be a baggie attached to the left side of the folder for money or important notes you may need to send to school. If money is sent, I ask that you attach a small note/sticky that explains what the money's for.

Snacks:  We are asking that you please provide a snack for your child.

Birthdays:  You may send cupcakes/cookies to celebrate your child’s birthday and leave them at the front desk. Family members cannot bring them to the classroom and stay as this is not an official school party.  If you have any questions/concerns please talk with Admin in the office.

Party Days: We will have three parties (Christmas, Valentine’s, End of the year.) I will send information about each party at that time. I do know that flowers, balloons, stuffed animals will no longer be allowed on Valentine’s day.  Again, please take questions/concerns to the office.

Newsletter:  There will be a monthly  newsletter that comes home at the beginning of each month. Please be sure to read (all important information like school holidays, events, etc… will be in newsletter.)

Social Media: We will have a class Facebook page. I will post pics of our activities and the fun things happening in our classroom. Also, reminders and upcoming events will be posted. Please read and

sign the Technology form. Otherwise no pics of your child or their work can be posted. Let me know if you do not want your child to be part of the class Facebook page and please No NEGATIVE comments!!!!

Medical: Please let us know if your child has any allergies or medical concerns. All medication will need to be taken to the Nurse and kept in her office. If your child gets hurt at school, we will immediately take them to the nurse. The nurse will contact you about the incident.  Also, please send a change of clothes in case of accidents. You are welcome to send a sweater/jacket as the classroom may sometimes get cold.

*If you need to reach me during the day, feel free to call or email me.
