Pokemon Go came out this past summer and as an avid fan, Mr. Bradford wanted to incorporate the program into his classroom.Through the use of it, he realized everything in the app could be related to math and the data from the app could be an excellent tool to teach his students curriculum skills.
Bradford has built engaging activities involving number lines, decimals, fractions, weight, measurement, and capacity. What student wouldn't want to dive into work when they get to make Pokemon potions and rice pillows? Students have loved the engagement they've experienced through these activities and the real world applications have helped the learning experiences stick with the students. Congratulations on all your hard work Mr. Bradford, and I wonder what you will discover this summer to highlight in your classroom next year!
