Navasota ISD to Close for Remainder of School Year

Rattler Family, This afternoon, Governor Abbott informed local school districts that he has made the decision to close all schools for the remainder of this 2019-2020 school year. Based on this declaration by the governor, Navasota ISD students will not return to campus this school year, but we will continue to serve meals and provide learning to all our students through the end of May. We will continue to serve Grab and Go meals at both Webb Elementary and High Point Elementary through this closure on weekdays from 10:00 am - 12 noon. Navasota ISD will continue to provide both high-tech online learning and low-tech paper based options for instruction and learning will continue until the end of May. Due to this executive order by the governor, we are announcing that we will postpone our May 29 graduation. Our hope is that we will be able to reschedule our Class of 2020 graduation, later this summer, if and when this crisis ends. We will continue to meet as an administrative team to develop plans for course credits, grades, and other questions that may arise during our closure. As additional plans are developed we will share that information with students, parents, staff, and our community. We will get through this unprecedented time stronger and together. Please stay safe and continue to follow our website and Facebook page for the latest information. Dr. Stu Musick Superintendent of Schools Navasota ISD
