Have You Found Your Sound?
Attending community college for music and theatre studies while teaching private lessons ignited my career path. I graduated from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and later became a full-time substitute teacher for six years with Katy Independent School District.
I was subsequently recruited to seed a charter school while earning my teaching certification. Two years later I relocated to the Navasota area, thrilled to delve into new endeavors. I view the education of youth as the noblest profession, as it is both the most challenging and the most rewarding of occupations.
Primarily a guitar player and vocalist, I thrive on encouraging student choice of classroom instruments and rhythm activities. Comprehension of tonality and timbre are key aural skills that are increased within my aesthetic venue, and improvising as a team ensemble is vastly exciting!
